Valentine’s Day is often associated with hearts and sugar, and it’s a great impetus to talk with kiddos about their friends and families.
It’s also a good time to integrate fun, meaningful learning activities into the classroom and at home.

Literacy Valentine Activities
Make a fine motor valentine craft with pony beads, letter beads, and pipe cleaners. My students have loved making this, so I think you should definitely add it to your list of valentine activities for preschoolers!

Valentine’s Day Snack for Preschoolers
Bake some heart-shaped brownies with the children, and then get the kids to help set up a you’ve been hugged valentine surprise It’s such fun to watch the children determine who should get the special delivery.

Make a special treat with marshmallows and colorful sprinkles. This is a very basic “cooking” activity that my son and his friends loved. Integrate literacy with a written “recipe”, while math can be practiced while counting and measuring.
