If you’re a regular reader of Fun-A-Day, you know how much I love process art. There are so many benefits to focusing on the process rather than the product. But, more often than not, the final product ends up being pretty great too!

As spring approaches, I’m sure you’re beginning to think of all the great springtime preschool themes you’ll get to explore with your students. And I think every theme deserves a good art activity!

Spring Process Art

Here are a few spring process art activities I love and just had to share with you all:

Combine art and science as you guide students through making coffee filter art flowers.

The scented shaving cream art will give students the opportunity to experience vibrant floral scents and bright colors.

Create some beautiful tissue paper stained glass to decorate your classroom windows this spring.

Switch it up this springtime as your students put aside the paintbrushes and enjoy painting with flowers.

Children will surprise you with their creativity when you present them with an invitation to create with spring colors!

Kids will love “rolling” into spring with the rainbow marble painting process art.

Change it up your sand art this spring by drawing outside with spring-colored sand!

Explore science concepts like the water cycle, weather, and even gravity with the rain cloud gravity painting for kids.

Here are a few materials you might consider incorporating into this season’s art activities:

Or choose one or two art techniques that you want to teach the children. Perhaps you really want them to explore bubble wrap printing or creating with clay. Combine those techniques with colors or materials that remind you of spring.

Your springy process art project doesn’t have to be overly complicated to be meaningful, I promise! The point is to let the children really dip into their creativity.
